House in Ehrendingen close to medieval Baden, Switzerland
Our semi-detached house (180 m2) was built in 2004 in a very quiet and family-friendly place on the land.
The house consists of following rooms:
– First floor: Kitchen, WC and dining room/living room.
– Second floor: master bedroom, guestroom, study and bath/shower.
– Third floor: 2 spacious bedrooms, WC/shower.
We have a small but quiet garden with a terrace and a gas grill.
We have 2 race bikes, 1 mountain bike, 1 city bike and 1 electric bike. The car that we want to exchange is a Renauld Megane hybrid.
Our house is in walking distance of the centre of Ehrendingen, a village of around 5000 inhabitants close to the medieval city of Baden (5km) and Zurich, Switzerland's largest city (30km). Lucerne (65km), Basel (80km) and Bern (100km) and most Swiss cities are close enough for one day trips.
Our area offers entertainment and sightseeing for everybody:
– For nature lovers
• Hiking paths (right around the corner). You can walk to the medieval town of Baden (45 minutes by foot) or through the woods to the top of the Lägern hill (Burghorn, about 90 min.) to have a magnificent view over the area. There are plenty more beautiful hikes in the area.
• Rivers Limmat and Reuss (5–20km)
• Lakes (www.schweizersee.ch)
• Mountains (Rigi, Pilatus about 70 km)
• Rheinfall (40km)
• Black Forest (Germany, about 50km)
– For families with children
• Several playgrounds, the nearest one just in front of the house
• Children's museum (in Baden, 5 km)
• Several public swimming pools (all about 5km)
• Planetary hiking trail (starts 10km from our house)

We are a family of 4: Adrian (1972) is a senior risk analyst, Tatiana (1972) is a translator and we have 2 daughters, Svenja (1999) and Olivia (2003).
Our cat Cléo is very independent and often strolls outside in the summertime. He loves to be cuddled and fed when he's home.
Estilo de vida
We are an active family and like to be outside and to discover new places. We like hiking, biking and moving around. We've already exchanged homes with families from Finland, the USA, Norway, Canada, Iceland, France and Sweden.
