Flat in Salzburg, Austria
We, Stefanie and Albert Ellensohn are living in Salzburg, a nice town (ca 120.000 inhabitans) in Austria. Our flat is close to the pedestrian area and most of the sight seeing places like fortress of Salzburg, mirabell gardens or old baroque town ... can be reached by feet or bike(We have two bikes). Also its only a few minutes to the river salzach or to our two hills "kapuzinerberg" and "mönchsberg", which are situated in the middle of town and ideal for a little walk - maybe in the evening or for picknick.
Around Salzburg there are lakes, mountains and alps for hitch-hiking, climbing, swimming and biking. Also it is not far to various ski-areas. Bus stop and railway-station are near to our flat. In our neighbourhood there are some bakeries, little grocery stores, some typical cafes and some restaurants.Every thursday there is a big rural-market with fresh vegetables, meat, cheese and fruits.
Our flat is situated in a new restaurated "Ceconi-Villa" built in 1897 and has about 95m². We have a big living-room with open kitchen and a sunny terrace with view to the garden, a sleeping room with double-bed 160 x 200 and a bath-room with shower and tube. And there is also a second sleeping- room with a 170 x 200 bed and the grand-piano. If You need it, you will found a third sleeping - room with a bunk bed 2x 90 x 200. For Children we have a lot of toys and (picture)books (for every age), a children's high chair....
Our family: Our daughter Sophie (35 years old) is living in Innsbruck and usually she does not spend her holidays with us, but sometimes Sophie visit us with her family when we change our flat . We - Albert and Stefanie - are both psychoanalysts, but retired. We like walking, biking and swimming , but also discovering other landscapes and cities.
Nous habitons près de la zone piétonne de Salzburg (5 minutes à pied) dans un bâtiment de trois étages très calme. L'appartement (95m2) est confortable, il y a trois chambres avec deux lits (160x200 et 170x200) et un grand piano.
Dans le salle de bains il y a une douche et une baignoire. La grande salle de séjour avec une cuisine intégrée communique avec la terrasse.Le quartier (Andräviertel) est lié au centre et très animé mais notre rue (Auerspergstrasse) est tranquille. Il y a un marché paysan le jeudi, des épiceries et des boulangeries. Il y a aussi les boutiques, un cinéma d’art (« Das Kino »), des cafés et des restaurants. Notre appartement est près de la cité baroque et du palais de festival (15 minutes à pied). Si vous aimez faire du jogging ou vous promener dans un parc merveilleux, vous pouvez aller au parc Mirabell ou au « Kapuzinerberg » qui se trouve proche de notre appartement (10 minutes à pied).Près de Salzburg il y a des montagnes et des lacs. Là, on peut faire de la randonnée, de l’escalade, du vélo, de la natation, du surf, de la voile et beaucoup d’autres choses.
Notre famille :
Notre fille Sophie (35 ans) habite à Innsbruck où elle a fini ses études d’histoire et des sciences politiques. Nous – Albert et Stéphanie – avons travaille comme psychanalystes, maintenant nous sommes à la retraite.

Wir wohnen in einem beliebten Stadtteil von Salzburg, im sogenannten Andräviertel nahe der Fußgängerzone Linzergasse. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele kleine Geschäfte, Cafés und Restaurants. Der Bus zum Flughafen hält nur 5 Minuten von unserem Haus entfernt, zum Bahnhof geht man knapp 15 Minuten und in ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg ist man auf der anderen Salzachseite in der Salzburger Altstadt.
Wir haben kein Auto aber 2 Fahrräder und es gibt ein gutes öffentliches Verkehrsnetz.
We live in a popular - but quiet district of Salburg, its called Andräviertel and it is close to the pedestrian area Linzergasse.
There are shops, Cafes, Resturants....in the neighborhood and it isn't far to the airport bus and to the railwaystation.
You have only 15 minutes to walk and you are at the other side of the Salzach river , there You will find the old city, the festival district, the fortress, Mozarts birth house.....
The buses to the lakes and the mountains (Salzkammergut) can also be reched in a few minutes.

Stefanie & Albert haben uns ein herzliches und außerordentlich großzügiges Willkommen beschert. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, gepflegt, großzügig, ruhig und bestens gelegen; die Beschreibung im Intervac-Angebot wurde sogar übertroffen. Wir haben interessante Ausflugstipps und gut verständliche Informationen über alles Beachtenswerte vorgefunden. Unser eigenes Haus haben wir nach der Rückkehr in einem Top-Zustand vorgefunden. Jeder, der mit Stefanie & Albert einen Haustausch vereinbart, kann sich glücklich schätzen.
Stefanie & Albert Ellensohn waren wunderbare Tauschpartner, alles war so liebevoll vorbereitet, die Wohnung wirklich wunderschön und inspirierend, wir haben die Zeit in Salzburg sehr genossen, vorallem ist die Lage sehr gut, sozusagen im Herzen Salzburgs, sehr empfehlenswert!
Koti oli hyvin esitelty sivuilla. Kaikki vastasi ilmoitusta. Pariskunta oli ihan mukava ja puhelias.
Ein sehr schönes Haus und ein sehr schöner Garten! Unsere Tauschpartner sind sehr gastfreundlich und haben uns sogar etwas zum Kochen eingekauft! In der Umgebung kann man wunderbar mit den e-Bikes der Gastgeber radeln, und die nahen Städtchen Zwolle, Deventer, Kampen sind sehr nett.

Wir reisen gerne, lieben es, in anderen Städten herumzuschlendern, Ausstellungen zu besuchen, die Gegend wandernd oder mit dem Rad zu erkunden. Wir sind gerne in den Bergen, aber auch am Meer, freuen uns über fremde Märkte und kochen mit viel Vergnügen mit den Zutaten, die in der jeweiligen Region angeboten werden.Wir lieben Musik und besuchen gerne Konzerte, Albert spielt seit seine Kindheit Klavier.
Seit einem Jahr haben wir eine kleine Werkstatt, 5 Minuten von unserer Wohnung entfernt. Albert arbeitet dort hauptsächlich mit Papier, Stefanie hat dort ihren Webstuhl stehen, sie hat vor 8 Jahren mit dem Weben begonnen.
Seit Jänner 2021 sind wir Großeltern einer kleinen Enkeltochter Mira und im Juli 2024 ist unser Enkel Jonas zur Welt gekommen - unsere Tochter lebt seit ihrer Studienzeit mit ihrer Familie in
Innsbruck. Gelegentlich haben uns unsere Tochter und unser Schwiegersohn während unserer Tauschurlaube für ein paar Tage besucht und das würden wir nach Absprache gerne auch in Zukunft so beibehalten.
Wir sind offen für verschiedenste Angebote, neugierig darauf, uns unbekannte Gegenden und neue Menschen kennen zu lernen .
We like travelling, going to other cities, visiting exhibitions, exploring the area on foot or by bike. We like being in the mountains, but also by the sea, we like foreign markets and cooking with ingredients that are available in the respective regions, we love music and enjoy going to concerts, Albert has been playing the piano since he was a child.
We have a small workshop just five minutes away from our flat. Albert works mainly with paper, Stefanie has her own loom and started weaving 10 years ago.
Since January 2021 we are grandparents of a granddaughter, and our second grandchild was born in July 2024. Our daughter lives in Innsbruck with her family.
Occasionally our daughter and son-in-law have visited us for a few days during our exchange holidays and we would like to do this in the future as well, if we agree.
We are open to any kind of offer and curious about new places and people.
