House in Cashmere Christchurch, New Zealand
Our large house is situated in a suburban valley which is part of Christchurch City. We have lovely views from our comfortable home and a peaceful and private garden which attracts native birds. We enjoy living in a friendly community, close to the city and also close to the many lovely walking tracks in the Port Hills area.
It is easy to get to other parts of Canterbury and the rest of South Island. You could be soaking in the thermal pools of Hanmer Springs, driving through rural farm country around Timaru, visiting wineries in Waipara, swimming with dolphins in Akaroa Harbour, or whale watching in Kaikoura, all just a few hours away.
Other great places less than a days drive away include the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, Nelson with its great beaches, world famous scenic Queenstown and the Southern Lakes, and the wild bush clad West Coast. All are great places to visit for a few days at a time if you are using our place as a base.
We have a cat, he is very undemanding and spends most of the day outside.We have neighbours who are happy to feed him if guests are away for a few days.
We have done some great exchanges and hope to do many more now that we are retired. . We are looking forward to hearing from you!

We are a retired couple with adult children not living in Christchurch. We are enthusiastic travellers and have done several rewarding exchanges via Intervac. We intend to do many more! . When we are at home, we lead active and interesting lives, enjoy gardening, travelling around NZ and spending time with our many friends and sharing mutual interests. We also host adult language school students from time to time.
