The house is located in a quiet area in Herisau, in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. The municipality is set within gently rolling hills and has a population of around 15,000. The property enjoys good sun exposure, borders green spaces, and offers pleasant views over the village and the surrounding landscape.
Herisau has a good infrastructure with shops for everyday needs. St. Gallen can be reached by public transport in around 10–15 minutes, Zurich in approximately 70–80 minutes, and Bern in about 150 minutes. The motorway connections at Gossau and St. Gallen-Winkeln are around 10–20 minutes away by car.
The proximity to nature, as well as hiking and cycling paths and the Alpstein region, offers a wide range of recreational opportunities throughout the year, both in summer and winter.
