London duplex apartment, 10-minutes by tube from city centre
We are Cecilia, 34, and Peter, 33, an opera director and film-making English teacher, keen to make the most of our holidays and opportunities to work abroad.
Our apartment is in Kentish Town, a bustling and historic neighbourhood North of central London. It is an excellent location for anyone wanting to explore the city by foot.
Downstairs we have a well-equipped kitchen (oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, dish washer, washing machine), that leads to a dining room and living room. There is also a toilet. Upstairs we have two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower as well as a toilet.
Kentish Town Underground Station is a 2-minute walk away and the Northern Line will take you to the city centre - the British Museum, National Gallery, National Theatre - in 10 minutes.
We live a 2-minute walk from Kentish Town High Street, a bustling neighbourhood, with bakeries, cafés, shops, supermarkets and other amenities.
We are a 15-minute walk from Camden Market and the Regent's Canal, and a 20-minute walk from green Hampstead Heath (with its walks, swimming ponds and open-air pool).
We are a 35-minute walk from The British Library and International Railway Station King's Cross St Pancras.

Less than four miles north of Central London, this unique area is a blend of history, culture and contemporary charm. Kentish Town is steeped in history and has been home to notable figures such as Karl Marx and George Orwell. Their influence still lingers in the area, adding an intellectual and artistic flair to the neighbourhood's atmosphere.
