We are new members but Marie has much experience with house exchange and Intervac from traveling with her parents. We live in a modern house (built 2022) 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, two floors. In our garden we have berry bushes, Appel trees (newly planted) and a lot of space for shenanigans. we have a big patio perfect for a barbecue and a big balcony for that evening cocktail. Inside we have a fireplace for making those bright and warm Swedish summer nights even cozier.

Our village Kaxås has beautiful surroundings, hiking paths, and fishing possibilities nearby. It is a small village with a playground, grocery store, café and gas station within 5 minutes walking distance. Kaxås is an amazing little village in the very middle of Sweden just as far enough from the big citys as needed. The closest larger town with an airport is Östersund, 60km from Kaxås, about 50 minutes travel by car or buss. There you will find shopping centers, fancy restaurants and everything big-city'isch. Getting to us from there is easy, either you rent a car or take the bus that goes from there directly to Kaxås ore you take the train to Krokom and transfer to a bus.

In our beautiful little village, and its surroundings, you will find friendly neighbors, reindeer's, elk and the great outdoors just around the corner. a great place to be if you like to hike, fish, run or pick cloudberries in the summer. Nordic skiing, randonee skiing or ice fishing during the winter.

If you get tired of the peace and quiet of Kaxås you can go to Åre, a famous Swedish mountain resort and village just 50 minutes away by car. Åre is a great place for any kinds of outside adventures al year round.
