Family friendly apartment in the suburbs of the capital
The apartment:
We are a family of four, including two boys (2017 and 2021) which have their own bedroom. There is also a master bedroom with a walk in closet. We have a bathroom with shower and laundry room with dryer and washing machine. The apartment has balcony with gas grill.
The area:
The apartment is located in a quiet family friendly area called Urriðaholt located in Garðabær which is part of the capitol area of Iceland. Drive to downtown Reykjavík takes about 10-15 minutes. There are few playgrounds near the house, one is located right behind the apartment building. There are many options for outdoor activities. The neighborhood has a lake and multiple hiking trails as well as Heiðmörk which is a popular recreational area.
