Built in 2016 and renovated at the turn of -21-22, our home is a modernly equipped, Scandinavian-style flat with 88 square meters and a spacious balcony two levels above the ground floor of a five-story apartment building. We have two bedrooms (one with bunk beds for two children, one with a double bed for two adults), a study, a living room, an open plan kitchen, two bathrooms, and our own private sauna. The balcony accomodates a Weber gas grill and a seating area. It has windows (and curtains) opening into three directions, providing a nice view of the area. The building has an elevator. We don't have pets and we do not smoke.

Here in Haaga you have the best of Helsinki at your fingertips. With a 10 min walk to Keskuspuisto (central park) and a 10 min train ride to downtown Helsinki, you can easily explore all sides of the city. Trains, buses, and a brand new crosstown tram are all a five min walk from our doorstep.

Ranked as the happiest capital in the world by the UN and sometimes called the "Berlin of the Baltic Sea", Helsinki has a unique mixture of nature, urban culture, and single person park benches. The Haaga suburb is a lovely little village in its own right, and you might end up spending more time here than you planned, sitting in its small cafes and wandering around marvelling the nature, the 1930-50's architecture, and local sights (like WWII trentches in the woods, the 19th Century milieu around the Huopalahti train station, or the maze-like rhododendron park). During the summer, the local market square also comes to life with events, food vendors, and the like.
