Home in SANT CUGAT DEL VALLES (close to Barcelona), Spain.
Between 2003 and 2010 we did 6 exchanges (London, Iceland, Sweden, Belgium, New York and Prague) and now, once we retire, we want to travel through Intervac again.

We have a house in a quiet area, with a garden of 140 m2. Our house is a flat in a building of 6 flats (2 in each floor). We have 4 bedrooms (1: double bed, 2: double bed, 3: 2 beds, 4: 1 bed) and one study room in the garden. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a big dinner room. We have also a parking place and our car, a Nissan XTrail with 5 seats, could also be exchanged.

The neighbourhood where we live is very quiet. There is a big park at 100m from the house. There is a public swimming pool just 100 m from the house with several types of swimming pools and a jacuzzi. There is a famous and nice gothic monastery in the town. In the city (90.000 inhabitants) you can find all kind services. You have a big supermarket at 250 m, restaurants: from fast food (pizzas, McDonalds, Chinese restaurants) to very good restaurants; etc.

From Sant Cugat you can travel easily to Barcelona and to different places of Catalonia and beaches:
- Barcelona is a nice city where you will find many things to visit: museums, parks, zoo, buildings,… If you like Gaudi do not forget to visit his buildings in Barcelona (Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, etc). There are trains with a very high frequency and in 25 minutes you arrive at the center of Barcelona
- Beaches: To the north there are the beaches of El Maresme and Costa Brava. To the south, the beaches of Costa Dorada. And in Barcelona city there are also some beaches in the Olympic Village.
- The mountains of Montserrat, etc.
