Home in San Luis Obispo, USA--the town that CNN Travel calls "pure California perfection"
We have enjoyed many exchanges all over the world and in the US and Canada. We are set through Spring of 2026. If you are thinking of coming to California at that time, let us know! We try to avoid heat, so Spring and Autumn are our favorite times to travel.
Our home is modern and comfortable, with wood floors throughout. It's serene and quiet.. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and baking, if that's something you enjoy.
Upstairs the two bedrooms are self-contained, each has a bathroom with shower. It is perfect for two couples or a couple with one or two young children who can share a bed. We recently switched out our queen bed in the master bedroom for two side-by-side twins..
There is a large deck in the back, where you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch and pick fresh herbs for your dinner.
We have a pool and hot tub, shared with other condo residents. It's a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Sobre a vizinhança
San Luis Obispo is a small city located right between Los Angeles and San Francisco--you get to either city in less than four hours. Santa Barbara is 90 minutes south and Carmel and Monterey are 3 hours north. The city's main employers are the University ( California Polytechnic State University), the State and local governments, and many small entrepreneurial businesses.

Dan is a retired licensed clinical social worker who had a private practice, specializing mostly in couples counseling, for over 20 years. Pat is retired from Cal Poly State University and is currently active in local politics and the arts.
We have two daughters, one of whom retired from the US Coast Guard and now lives in Porto,Portugal ; and one who lives in Pittsburgh, PA. We love to visit them and would welcome exchanges in those areas.
