Spacious, heterogeneous duplex (350 m2) in the heart of Barcelona
Hi! We live in a spacious, 350m2 duplex (including the top floor with therrace) in the heart of Gothic neighborhood in Barcelona, within the historic roman perimeter. The house is divided in two flats connected by a staircase, both flats connecting separately also to the building elevator. The decoration is very heterogeneous, as a result of how we have worked on different areas at different periods of our life, resulting in an astonishing combination of atmospheres that we hope you will enjoy. There are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms in each floor, as well as separate fully equipped kitchens, as you'll see in the pictures attached. Please note that we can close the internal staircase dividing the two apartments, allowing us to offer only the entire house or, if your group is not that large, only the upstairs flat or the downstairs flat and still offering complete privacy, giving us a lot of flexibility in arranging both simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges.

We are next to Las Ramblas and you can go walking to the 90% of the museums, theaters, Gaudi monuments, the beach, Cathedral and main monuments, ... Avinyó street is really fashion, plenty of restaurants, cafes, clothes and complements shops, decoration,.. if you cros Via Laietana you are in El Borne wich is an other very interesting area for culture and shopping.

Es una familia encantadora. Nos ofrecieron la espaciosísima parte inferior de su dúplex en pleno centro de Barcelona, en el barrio Gótico. Lo hemos disfrutado. Gracias.

Our exchange with Marta Pijuan was exceptional. We were 6 adults in her spacious classic apartments. We spent every night visiting on the porch with cool breezes and the sound of the bells of the Barcelona Cathedral blocks away. They are 3 blocks from the waterfront in the middle of the historic Gothic section and the subway was close so it was easy to get to our destinations. Although we were just 2 blocks from Las Ramblas we never ate there because there were spectacular local restaurants closeby. Her historic street was full of flowers and small shops to explore. We all fell in love with Cataluna, our guide to Montserrat, and had encounters with warm creative people everywhere. The Gaudi houses, park and Sagrada Familia also exceeded expectations. The history museum with it's restaurant overlooking the waterfront was fascinating giving us a chance to understand Barcelona. We're looking forward to returning! We set up a What's App group and Marta answered our questions quickly and thoroughly.
The exchange was excellent. Very well planned for our partners and with detailed explanations. The house is espacios, clean, well decorated and equiped. The neighbourhooh is colorful, polite and lively. Many interesting places to discober around. We really recommend to go.

We are Jordi and Marta, married for almost 30 years, and our three sons: Roc (24) Aerospace Engineering and works in finances; Marcel (23) is a professional cyclist racing at ProTour level for Q36.5 pro-cylcing team; and Nico (20) architecture stident. We all love to travel and are very sporty, as well as adventure and cultural activities. Jordi is in finance, currently as a freelance, and I (Marta) run a chemical distribution family business.
