flat in Huy
Our flat is situated in a former school turned into a comfortable condo. It is located in the centre of Huy, a pleasant old little town along the river Meuse, between Namur and Liège. We enjoy the sun on our terrace with a view on the fort which overlooks the city.
Huy is a good base to explore the east of Belgium. It is surrounded by castles (Jehay, Modave,...). There are pleasant cycling paths along the Meuse and across the countryside (Hesbaye, Condroz). Huy is only 30 km. from the old city of Liège where the writer Georges Simenon was born.
If you are fond of nature, you can walk in the hilly Ardennes forests or in the Hautes Fagnes moors.
Since Belgium is a small country, you can even go for a one-day trip to Brussels or the Flemish cities (Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp,...).
We are experienced INTERVAC members, as we've been exchanging homes every year since ... 1988 !
