We would like to swap to the Toronto area for a week to 10 days around November 10, 2024.

Quiet flat in the center of Berlin, Germany

Our house is situated in the center of Berlin, only about 50 metres the famous Kurfürstendamm. Although it is a quiet place to stay. We have a small garden with a terrace and a barbecue.
From our home you can easily reach all the interesting sightseeing places and museums but you also just take a bus for a few minutes to get to the local forrest and the nearest lake for a swim in summer.
Public transport is nearby to reach every part of the city easily. That's the reason why we don't posses a car.
Berlin is a nice place to spent holidays throughout the year. In summer you can enjoy the great parks, open air events, the Grunewald forrest and the lakes. And when you get tired of the city you can go to many interesting places in Brandenburg e.g. Potsdam, Rheinsberg, Neuruppin.
Also in winter there are a lot of possibilities to spend your time - not only in museums. Nearby there is an iceskating-centre where we love to go during the season. Snow is rarely falling in Berlin, but in case in the Grunewald forrest you can go for a sledge ride. We have got two sledges in the cellar.
